Construction site lighting hire

Tower lights for site compounds, working areas, access routes and winter working — delivered, positioned and kept running for as long as the programme needs them.

Lighting that keeps the programme moving

A construction hire is rarely a week. It is a phase, a season, or the life of the job — and the lighting has to be as dependable as the rest of the site set-up.

From October to March the working day runs out before the work does. Early starts, late finishes and night shifts all depend on being able to see the job, and a dark compound or unlit access route is a slip, trip and vehicle-movement risk before it is anything else. Tower lights are the quickest way to put controlled, even light exactly where the site needs it, and to move it as the site changes.

We supply towed lighting towers for construction sites across the UK. Each unit arrives fuelled or charged, is positioned where you want it, and is set up by our driver so it is working before we leave. For longer hires we agree a refuelling and service schedule up front, so the site team never has to think about it.

  • Long-term hires with a refuelling and check schedule agreed at the start
  • Units positioned by our driver to suit compounds, haul roads and working faces
  • Relocation between phases as the site develops
  • Hybrid units for compounds and welfare areas where generator noise is unwelcome
  • Fast swap-out if a unit develops a fault on site

The right unit for the site

Most construction hires use a mix. Diesel LED towers for the big open areas and long unattended runs; hybrid units where noise, fumes or fuel deliveries are a problem; tripods for task lighting inside and around structures.

Diesel LED tower lights

Compounds, haul roads, open working areas

The workhorse for site lighting. Long runtimes between refuels, a tall mast for wide coverage, and LED heads that draw far less fuel than older metal-halide sets.

  • Wide coverage from a single unit
  • Long runtime between refuels
  • Towable between locations on site

Hybrid lithium tower lights

Welfare areas, site entrances, residential boundaries

Runs on battery for most of the night and only starts its engine to recharge. Near-silent operation, minimal fumes and far fewer fuel visits — ideal where the site borders housing or a school.

  • Near-silent operation overnight
  • Fewer refuelling visits
  • Low emissions close to welfare cabins

Tripod and task lights

Inside structures, plant rooms, confined working areas

For lighting the work rather than the site. Portable stands that can be carried into buildings, basements and scaffold areas where a towed unit cannot reach.

  • Carried and positioned by hand
  • Runs from site power or a small generator
  • Ideal alongside towers for finishing trades

How a site hire works

Simple by design — the site manager should have to think about the lighting once, at the start.

  1. Tell us about the site

Postcode, what needs lighting, how long for and when you need it. A site plan or a few photos help us size the job.

  2. We recommend the kit

Number and type of units, where they should sit and how they'll be serviced through the hire. Quoted with no obligation.

  3. Delivery and set-up

Our driver delivers, positions each unit where agreed and gets it running before leaving. Nationwide delivery from our depot.

  4. Kept running, then collected

Refuelling and checks on the agreed schedule, relocation when the site moves, and collection when the phase is done.

Construction hire questions

Do you supply lighting for long-term construction hires?

Yes. Most of our construction work is measured in months rather than days. We agree a refuelling and check schedule at the start so the site team doesn't have to manage it, and we'll relocate units as the site develops.

Can the lighting be moved as the site changes?

Yes. Tower lights are towable and are designed to be repositioned. Tell us when a phase is moving and we can either relocate units on a visit or brief your site team on moving them safely.

What happens if a unit stops working on site?

Call us. If it can't be fixed over the phone we'll get an engineer or a replacement unit to you. A fault on a live site is treated as urgent.

We're next to housing — can you keep the noise down?

Hybrid lithium units are the answer. They run on battery for most of the night and only start their engine briefly to recharge, so they're near-silent for the hours when neighbours notice. They also cut fuel visits.

Do you deliver to sites anywhere in the UK?

Yes. We deliver nationwide from our depot. Tell us the site postcode and we'll confirm a delivery date with the quote.
